Hi Dave,



On behalf of myself, my family and all Okikukai Australia we send our

deepest sympathy to the family and students of Master Ahti Kaend.

I apologise for not responding sooner as I was away in Perth for our

National Karate championships, and only yesterday (Wednesday) I checked

my email. I tried to contact by phone Mrs Olga Kaend but no one was

home.



Master Ahti Kaend will be truly missed by us. Ahti was my first Uechi

teacher and I had a lot of respect for him, only the other week I was

planning to visit him next year.



Please pass on my respects to Mrs Kaend I will keep trying to contact

her by phone.
